About You
As a TAS Workshop Assistant, you will be an integral member of the school community, you will demonstrate Marcellin College Randwick's values and professional standards in interacting with students, staff, parents and the community. You must be able to demonstrate:
- excellent organisational skills including the ability to work effectively in a busy environment, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- the ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
- experience working with timber
- the ability to recognise confidential issues as they arise and to treat them with the sensitivity required
- a willingness to support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
- a willingness to perform other duties as directed by the Principal.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- supporting the Leader of Learning - TAS with facility safety and maintenance
- assisting with stocktake and restocking of department supplies
- organising, sorting and storing resources and equipment
- maintaining inventory and equipment cupboards
- ensuring safe handling of materials, including timber, with attention to stock rotation and quality control
- controlling and preparing materials for student projects.
