Calvary Lutheran Primary School is a dynamic Foundation to Year 6 setting in the southern suburbs of Adelaide.

Calvary Lutheran Primary school is a small school of approximately 200 students where every child is encouraged and supported to REACH for success.

Junior Primary (Foundation – Year 2) Support

This position involves working 40 weeks of the school year (term time) 8:30am – 3:30pm

It is desired that the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to apply initiative and reflective practice when supporting diverse learners.
• Competence in following and implementing educational programs under teacher supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Organisational skills to manage priorities and assist with planning and resource preparation.
• Understanding of and commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and safety.

• Reliable, proactive, and able to exercise good judgment.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers to provide classroom, individual and small group support for students with diverse learning needs.

Highly Desirable

• Certificate or Diploma in Education Support
• First Aid – BELS or equivalent (HLTAID010 minimum)
• RRHAN-EC Training (Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect)
• Experience in delivering Literacy and / or Numeracy intervention programs in an educational setting (MiniLit, MacqLit, Playberry Tier 2 program, Bond Blocks)

Position Detail

Title: Lutheran Support Officer

Classification: Lutheran School Officer

Grade: Grade 2 or 3 (depending on skills and experience)

Tenure: 12 month contract with possibility of being ongoing. To commence January 2026.
