Early Childhood Co-Educators – Blairholme ELC Extended Hours Care Program

Lauriston Girls’ School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Co-Educators to join the vibrant Extended Hours Care program at our  Blairholme Early Learning Centre. These roles are ideal for people committed to nurturing young children and contributing to a joyful, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

About the Positions

• Full-time ongoing positions
• Commencing January 2026

As an Early Childhood Co-Educator, you will work collaboratively within a cohesive team to deliver high-quality care and an interest-based curriculum for children aged from infants to 5 years. You will play a vital role in fostering children's development across physical, social, emotional, and cognitive domains, while upholding the values and philosophy of Lauriston Girls’ School.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of play-based and inquiry-led learning programs
• Assist with supervision, transitions, and daily routines including lunch and rest periods
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment
• Contribute to observations and documentation of children’s learning
• Uphold confidentiality and child safety standards

The ideal candidate will have:

• An Understanding of child safety and wellbeing practices
• Valid Working with Children Check and Police Check
• First Aid certification
• Early childhood qualifications in line with ACECQA guidelines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathy, flexibility, and initiative
