Early Childhood Co-Educators – Blairholme ELC Extended Hours Care Program
Lauriston Girls’ School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Co-Educators to join the vibrant Extended Hours Care program at our Blairholme Early Learning Centre. These roles are ideal for people committed to nurturing young children and contributing to a joyful, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
About the Positions
- Full-time ongoing positions
- Commencing January 2026
As an Early Childhood Co-Educator, you will work collaboratively within a cohesive team to deliver high-quality care and an interest-based curriculum for children aged from infants to 5 years. You will play a vital role in fostering children's development across physical, social, emotional, and cognitive domains, while upholding the values and philosophy of Lauriston Girls’ School.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of play-based and inquiry-led learning programs
- Assist with supervision, transitions, and daily routines including lunch and rest periods
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment
- Contribute to observations and documentation of children’s learning
- Uphold confidentiality and child safety standards
The ideal candidate will have:
- An Understanding of child safety and wellbeing practices
- Valid Working with Children Check and Police Check
- First Aid certification
- Early childhood qualifications in line with ACECQA guidelines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy, flexibility, and initiative
