We are seeking an experienced, visionary and energetic Deputy Principal – Secondary to join our College executive team in Term 1, 2026. The successful applicant will partner with the Principal to lead the strategic direction of the Secondary campus (Years 7-12), overseeing the daily operations, cultivating a high-performance culture and ensuring that students thrive in every dimension of school life. This full-time, ongoing leadership role offers significant scope to shape curriculum, wellbeing, staff growth and community partnerships within a faith-based context.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership of the Secondary school, working in close partnership with the Principal, Heads of Department and broader leadership team to achieve the College’s vision
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the secondary school, including student wellbeing, behaviour systems, timetable scheduling, curriculum delivery, transitions and culture
- Collaborate with the Principal and leadership team to implement the college's vision and educational policies
- Lead the monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement of student academic outcomes, using data, research-informed strategies and targeted interventions
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-expectation school culture where every student is known, challenged, supported and respected
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and the wider community to enhance student engagement, service and citizenship
- Lead professional development initiatives for teaching staff and support their continued growth and improvement
- Contribute to the broader life of the College through executive leadership, strategic planning, innovation and other duties as required
Skills & Experiences
- Postgraduate qualifications in Education or a related field
- Substantial experience (minimum 4–5 years) in a senior leadership role within a secondary school setting - preferably in a Deputy Principal or Head of Department role
- A track record of driving improved academic and behavioral outcomes through strategic initiatives, curriculum innovation and staff leadership
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
- A committed practicing Christian who embraces and actively supports the Christian ethos, values and mission of the College
- Proven experience in Data informed improvement of academic result.
- Proven experience in whole school improvement of learning and teaching
- Experience in eLearning and digital tools will be an advantage
