A highly skilled, collaborative and motivated teacher is sought to work in in a positive and successful department which is committed to delivering excellent outcomes for students requiring additional support to access the curriculum. This role incorporates support of Stage 5 and Stage 6 students with diverse learning needs as well as the ability to teach one English class (0.2 FTE).
Founded in 1881 by the Marist Brothers, St Joseph’s College is a boarding and day secondary boys’ school, whose Catholic identity is shaped by Marist spirituality and traditions. Governed by Marist Schools Australia, the College enrolment is 1,100 students.
Learning Enrichment/English Teacher
Full-time ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2026
A highly skilled, collaborative and motivated teacher is sought to work in in a positive and successful department which is committed to delivering excellent outcomes for students requiring additional support to access the curriculum. This role incorporates support of Stage 5 and Stage 6 students with diverse learning needs as well as the ability to teach one English class (0.2 FTE).
Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and reviewing Individualised Learning Plans to meet diverse learning needs; conducting regular diagnostic and standardised assessments to track progress; and collaborating with teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive classroom practices. The role also requires maintaining communication with parents, guardians, and external specialists to promote student wellbeing, while providing in-class, small group, and 1:1 support across Stages 5 and 6. Familiarity with NCCD and CSNSW data management, as well as experience organising and applying NESA Disability Provisions for examinations, is essential.
The successful applicant must be supportive of the Catholic ethos and tradition of the College and be prepared to participate in the co-curricular area (which may not include any weekend responsibilities).
