• A commitment to contributing positively to team-based planning
• A strong commitment and ability to engage with all members of the community

The successful applicant will hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration.

They will also be committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and to ensuring St Mary's Child safety policies and procedures are fully enacted.

St. Mary's School, Altona (No. 1273) first opened its doors on the 31st January, 1928. On the first day of school, Fr Flannery (Parish Priest) counted fifty children in attendance. Four months later the enrolment at the little school by the sea was eighty six. During the first year of the school's operation classes ranged from prep to year eight. The school currently has a population of 259 children and 12 classroom teachers.
