AFL SportsReady Traineeships

Kickstart your career in education with a school-based traineeship at Catholic College Wodonga. We are offering traineeships in Sport & Recreation, Physical Education, Religious Education and Catholic Identity.

Are you looking to get a headstart in your career after school, and are you interested in working in education? Catholic College Wodonga have on offer up to four traineeships for 2026, which are administered by AFL SportsReady.

Traineeships for 2026 could potentially be offered in the following departments:

• Catholic Identity
• Religious Education
• Sport & Recreation
• Physical Education

Please refer to the detailed position descriptions for specific key accountabilities regarding each role.

We are requesting that all applicants apply to their preferred department based on skills and interests. Upon a successful application, if the applicant is better suited to another department other than the one nominated, the College will offer the applicant this option.

The qualifications that may be achieved include:

• Cert III in Education Support
• Cert III in Sport and Recreation

1. What do you believe are your best skills, and why?
2. Which department traineeship is your most preferred and why?
3. Each traineeship requires excellent communication and organisational skills - how can you demonstrate these skills?
4. What skills do you hope to develop over the next year as a trainee?
5. How will an educational qualification linked to the traineeship help you achieve your goals?
6. If you don't get a traineeship what will you be doing in 2026?

Please indicate if you have a current driver licence, Working With Children Check and any First Aid Training.
