Part-time, fixed-term position for Term 1, 2026.
Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of English to foster curiosity and inspire students to think critically. Through engaging lessons and supportive guidance, the successful candidate will help students to develop a lifelong appreciation and passion for the English language.
This is a part-time, 0.75 FTE opportunity.
This role will see you
- Work as a pedagogical educator, committed to driving and sharing best practice with other teachers in the Department.
- Facilitate the exploration of student interests, fostering the pursuit of academic and personal growth.
- Support the individual wellbeing of our students.
You will:
- Have experience teaching English and a passion for the education of students from Years 7 to 12.
- Work in partnership to deliver exceptional educational experiences we offer our students.
- Collaborate with others to educate and nurture the whole person, fostering each student’s intellectual, spiritual, physical, psychological and emotional growth.
- Use your skills to actively contribute to co-curricular activities
VIT registration, or the ability to gain VIT registration, is essential. Graduates are encouraged to apply.
