About the Role
Southern Cross Grammar is seeking a skilled and experienced Policy and Compliance Manager to join our Corporate Services team. This is a full-time, fixed-term (12 month) contract position, commencing in January 2026.
Reporting to the Director of Risk and Compliance, this hands-on role supports senior leadership in meeting governance, regulatory, policy, safety, and compliance obligations across the School. You will help drive key initiatives, including VRQA School Registration, Child Safe Standards implementation, emergency management, risk processes, and continuous improvement across our compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
- Review, draft and maintain School policies, procedures and compliance documentation
- Prepare and coordinate regulatory evidence for VRQA and other audits
- Maintain governance, compliance, privacy, and safety registers
- Support Emergency Management and Critical Incident Response planning
- Monitor legislative and sector updates and advise on compliance actions
- Assist with WHS and psychosocial risk processes
- Manage the Privacy Breach Register and support privacy training
- Support Child Safe Standards compliance, including documentation and reporting
- Coordinate mandatory training for staff and contractors
- Prepare reports, briefings and tools to strengthen compliance capability
