The opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Oboe Teacher (Casual) to join our dedicated Music team.
In this role, you will provide high-quality individual tuition to students from beginner to advanced levels, inspiring a lifelong love of music and supporting each student to reach their personal best. You may also contribute to school concerts, music camps and community performances throughout the year.
Music Tutors at Korowa play a vital role in fostering confidence, creativity and collaboration in our students, contributing to the vibrant musical life of the School.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inspiring oboe lessons to students of varying skill levels
- Maintain accurate attendance rolls and complete administrative tasks as required
- Submit electronic student reports twice per year
- Support the School’s concert and performance program as required
- Provide meaningful feedback and encourage self-reflection to promote student growth
- Foster respectful, supportive relationships with students, staff and families
The successful applicant will demonstrate
- Experience teaching oboe to school-aged students
- A genuine passion for music education and student development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of professional and legal responsibilities in relation to student supervision
