Job Description
We are seeking an inspiring and team-oriented Drama/Theatre Productions/English Teacher to join us in a part-time (0.6 FTE) role, teaching up to VCE Drama Units 3/4, and up to Year 9 English, supporting students to grow in confidence, skill and creative expression.
The successful candidate will also bring skill, passion and leadership to direct Theatre Productions, with additional paid hours associated with the production program.

About the Role
- Deliver engaging and contemporary Drama learning experiences that nurture student voice, imagination and creative expression
- Teach English up to Year 9, drawing on strong curriculum knowledge and an ability to support the development of confident, capable communicators
- Cultivate a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students are encouraged to collaborate and to take creative and intellectual risks
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to design and refine curriculum and assessment practices across Drama and English
- Actively contribute to a thriving Performing Arts culture that is celebrated within the College community
- Lead and direct one or more Theatre Productions each year, with additional paid hours allocated for production responsibilities
About you
- Qualified teacher with VIT registration
- Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Education and Drama (with English as a teaching method or demonstrated experience teaching English up to Year 9)
- Strong knowledge of Drama pedagogy and performance practice
- Willingness and ability to direct productions, ensembles or performance projects
- A commitment to student engagement, wellbeing and growth
- Collaborative, flexible and able to bring creative energy to our team
- Knowledge of child safe practices, including reporting requirements
- Skilled in providing pastoral care and building strong relationships with young people
- Committed to continuous professional learning and contributing to the collaborative culture of the College
