St Francis Xavier is seeking a full-time classroom teacher for the 2026 school year. This will initially be a one-year contracted position with the possibility of ongoing work beyond 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic teaching team and work in a vibrant, diverse school community where collaboration and professional growth flourish.

• Have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and the safety and well-being of young people
• Be committed to working as part of a collaborative team that works together to maximise learning for every student
• Embrace the pedagogical approaches used at St Francis Xavier and be a reflective practitioner
• Have the ability to differentiate and personalise learning to meet the needs of each student, including those with additional needs
• Be open to feedback for growth and act upon it appropriately
• Be prepared to support the broader life of the school, including the Sacramental program, camps and community events
• Have a deep understanding of the principles of Cognitive Science and their application in the classroom
• Hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration and accreditation to teach Religious Education (or be willing to work towards it)
