Join us on our journey of excellence at Aspiri Primary School

“Doing the right work, the right way, for the right reasons.”

At Aspiri Primary School (PS), we believe outstanding schools are built on strong relationships, high expectations and a commitment to continuous improvement. We are proud of the inclusive culture we have created and invite passionate educators to join us in making a difference for every child.

Our vision guides everything we do:

Together, we shape a culture of inclusion and respect where everyone belongs, contributes and thrives. Through kind hearts and strong minds, we develop confident, capable learners who act with integrity and strive for excellence.

Whether you are an experienced teacher or at the beginning of your career, we are seeking educators who share our commitment to excellence, inclusion, collaboration and evidence-informed practice.

Our HEART Values underpin our culture and every interaction within our school community.

  • Honesty We tell the truth and take responsibility for our actions.
  • Excellence We take pride in our learning, do our best and use feedback to continually improve.
  • Attitude We approach learning and challenges with a positive mindset, resilience and a willingness to try.
  • Respect We treat ourselves, others and our environment with kindness, understanding and care.
  • Teamwork We work cooperatively by listening, sharing ideas and ensuring everyone feels included.

Established in 2018, Aspiri PS has grown into a vibrant learning community of approximately 1,020 students. We are a large, inclusive and highly multicultural school with more than 50 language backgrounds represented across our community. Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths, creating rich learning experiences where every student is known, valued and supported to succeed. Our expansive nature play spaces and contemporary facilities encourage curiosity, creativity and purposeful play.

Aspiri recently graduated from the Department of Education's Centre for Excellence in Literacy Explicit Teaching and continues to build on this strong foundation as part of our ongoing school improvement journey. Evidence-informed practice underpins our approach to teaching and learning, with a relentless focus on improving outcomes for every student.

Our English improvement agenda centres on a consistent whole-school Literacy Block incorporating explicit instruction, fluency routines and systematic phonics through the UFLI Foundations program. Staff work collaboratively to refine practice through the use of student achievement data, professional collaboration and ongoing inquiry into effective teaching.

In Mathematics, our improvement agenda focuses on high-quality lesson design and explicit instruction. Daily Reviews and the Concrete–Representational–Abstract (CRA) approach support students to develop deep conceptual understanding while ensuring consistency of practice across every classroom.

Professional growth is a hallmark of Aspiri. Every teacher is supported through a comprehensive induction program, classroom observation and feedback cycles, and high-quality professional learning aligned with our school improvement priorities. Whether you are new to the profession or an experienced educator, you will be supported to continually refine your practice and have access to an Instructional Coach or Graduate Support Coach.

Aspiri embraces an expansive distributed leadership model because we believe the best schools are built through collaboration, shared purpose and teacher voice. Staff actively contribute to year level teams, committees and improvement teams across English, Mathematics, Early Childhood, Wellbeing, Inclusion and Disability, Cultural Responsiveness and other strategic priorities.

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) provides the framework for creating safe, respectful and inclusive learning environments where positive behaviour is explicitly taught and acknowledged, enabling every student to flourish socially, emotionally and academically.
