We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Bob Hawke College in Subiaco opened in February 2020 to more than 250 Year 7 students and is the first high density public secondary college in Western Australia. The College has current enrolments of 2015 with around 20% of students having an imputed or diagnosed disability, 25% of students speak a language other than English at home and the College includes 34 Aboriginal students.
We understand the importance of looking after the wellbeing of the whole student. Every student at our College will be well known and valued. Our pastoral care approach has been specifically designed to support young adults. Specialist staff provide students with individual support as well as health and wellbeing programs. All our teaching and essential services staff excel in their profession and inspire and motivate students, encouraging them to take responsibility for themselves, for others and for the world around them.

The Role
The School Officer role provides a range of administrative duties in a growing and dynamic secondary College. Suitable applicants will ideally possess exceptional communication and organisational skills to effectively greet visitors and respond to enquiries or requests for information from students, parents, staff, and the community. As a college that utilises technology to enhance our service delivery, you could be operating a range of software packages including but not limited to the Student Information System (SIS), Compass, Canva, Excel, Sway, Microsoft Suite Teams and TRIM.
As School Officers, suitable applicants will be the first point of contact for our college and would be responsible for providing effective and quality customer service, working collaboratively with the Essential Services team, Executive Leadership, our school community, and teaching staff.
No two days at the College are the same and this uniqueness is a strength of the college in its ability to adapt and be flexible to meet the school community needs. All staff at the college are expected to be able to adapt to change within the needs of the College, therefore suitable applicants will ideally work across various location and with diverse teams supporting the College operations.

- Demonstrated ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
- Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.
- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
