About the South Burnett Partnerships for Transitions initiative:
The South Burnett Partnerships for Positive Transitions approach is a place-based initiative focused on supporting evidence informed and inclusive transitions for children and families from pregnancy to eight years across early childhood education and care (ECEC) and school settings.
As the Principal Education Officer (EOSD), you will:
- Deliver consistent, high quality advice and meet objectives in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and relevant legislation to deliver project outcomes.
- Lead strategies that foster high quality collaboration, communication and information sharing to enable an understanding of the complexities and challenges that exist in early years transitions.
The Principal Education Officer (EOSD) will be based in Darling Downs South West Region Kingaroy Office.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identify, implement and deliverof transition-focused initiatives across schools and ECEC services through analysis of improvement data as well as early years practices, procedures and systems.
- Establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with school based staff and community partners to ensure consistent and responsive support for children and families.
- Actively contribute to the development and management of a localised Community of Practice for early years leaders to strengthen pedagogical continuity and collaborative transition practices.
- Support schools in applying data insights to improve transitions and early learning outcomes.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to build strong partnerships that support inclusive and culturally responsive transitions.
- Provide strategic oversight and prepare project reporting and documentation aligned with the initiative's objectives and deliverables.
