St Patrick’s is an integral part of the Our Lady Help of Christians Parish which encompasses the areas of Nanango, Yarraman, Blackbutt and Cooyar. A picturesque 2.5-hour drive from Brisbane, we are a co-educational primary school with an enrolment of approximately 70 students. About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Providing professional support in the use of data to track student progress at individual, cohort and whole school level, making modifications to improve student outcomes, and plan for further learning.
- Providing teachers with feedback on classroom pedagogy and planning.
- Supporting teachers in the use of formative assessment to inform teaching and curriculum decision making.
- Promoting and facilitating an understanding of the literacy and numeracy demands and practices within each curriculum area.
- Monitoring and analysing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student achievement data in literacy to accelerate literacy progress.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Mentoring, coaching and advising teachers on classroom pedagogy and planning.
- Strong data analysis skills to track student progress and inform instructional adjustments, inclusive of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student progress.
- Experience in promoting and facilitating literacy and numeracy strategies across curriculum areas.
- Expertise in using formative assessments to guide curriculum decisions and improve student learning.
- Knowledge of literacy and numeracy strategies across various curriculum areas to support teachers.
- For this position you are required to be Catholic.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
