The Program Leader supports the school’s mission by leading specific programs aligned with the school's values, fostering partnerships, and ensuring effective practices for student success.

- Work hours: 30.00
- Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 per annum + Middle Leader Tier 2 Allowance + super
- Full Time Fixed Term/Variation until the end of triennium (Dec 2026)

About the opportunity
This is continuing teaching appointment, with an initial appointment into the Middle Leader position including Middle Leader Allowance, concluding at the end of the current triennium (December 2026). Two subsequent three- year appointments with the Middle Leader Allowance can be offered subject to satisfactory performance in the position and the ongoing existence of the position.
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Leading the designated program in the school.
- Supervising teachers engaged in the program throughout the school.
- Inducting new teachers within the program (or supervise the induction where it is undertaken by another experienced teacher).
- Monitoring program outcomes for students and address areas of concern through appropriate interventions.
- Coordinating the work of staff engaged in delivering the designated program in the light of the values and ethos of the school.
- Regularly communicating with stakeholders (students, parents, school staff and other personnel) to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
- Organising program activities including resources, transport, operations, staff, etc.
- Keeping abreast of best practice in the program area through on-going professional reading and research and providing for the professional learning of staff in line with these developments.
- Contributing to the leadership of the school through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings.
- Managing financial and material resources within the area of responsibility including the formulation of budgets and the expenditure of allocated funds.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- A minimum of 5 years teaching experience
- Experience in school leadership, or a role providing support and leadership to Catholic schools, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in leading academic, cultural, outreach, or sporting programs.
- Proven ability to supervise and support teaching staff across a school setting.
- Strong organisational skills to coordinate program logistics, resources, and operations.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, staff, and external partners.
- Capacity to build and maintain partnerships with external organisations to enhance program outcomes.
- Commitment to the values and ethos of the school in all aspects of program leadership.
- Ability to lead professional learning aligned with current best practices and research.
- Active contribution to school leadership through participation in staff and leadership meetings.
- Competence in managing budgets and material resources responsibly.
- Eligibility to work within Australia for the period of appointment.
