Ernabella Anangu School is one of eight Anangu schools situated in the far northwest corner of South Australia in the Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands. Ernabella is the largest community in the APY Lands, home to the world-famous Ernabella Art Centre. The Ernabella community is in the western Musgrave Ranges, west of the Stuart Highway, 330 kilometres south-west of Alice Springs.

Our school is focused on high quality, dynamic and culturally responsive education, our students will be empowered to choose their destiny and determine their future.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic pre school teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching in a remote bilingual setting.

Educators work in teaching teams comprising of Teachers, Anangu Educators and SSOs to deliver Australian Curriculum and contextual/cultural learning to students. The school supports a 2-way, culturally focussed approach to teaching and learning.

1. Explain a time where you have empowered your learners, giving them agency to shape a learning experience. What was the outcome?
2. How do you ensure your teaching is inclusive of students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students?
3. Describe your approach to supporting students with challenging behaviours. How do you work with families and other professionals to implement effective strategies?
