• Position Descriptor: North Haven School caters for students from reception to year 6. It is situated 22kms from the Adelaide CBD with an enrolment of 230 students. Music is one of our specialist subjects. All students R-6 are taught one lesson per week in our refurbished and upgraded Music room. The Music teacher is also responsible for teaching our middle and upper primary choirs, and is assisted in doing so by a school volunteer. Our older students have the opportunity to be involved in the Festival of Music each year and Wakakirri on a biannual basis (odd years). The position is for a Reception to year 6, Non Instruction Time (NIT) Music Teacher 0.4 FTE. The role requires teaching instrumental music across all year levels, along with dance and singing. The school has a strong music focus with middle and upper primary choirs, of which the music teacher instructs and conducts in preparation for performances including the Festival of Music. The position requires sound student behaviour management strategies and building and maintaining effective relationships with all students.
