Position Descriptor: This position is open to any certified Highly Accomplished Teacher (HAT) who will model highly effective teaching and learning strategies and actively support and mentor colleagues through this position, thereby continuing to demonstrate positive impact beyond their own classroom.

The Highly Accomplished Teacher will:

• develop their colleague's professional knowledge, practice and engagement with reference to the APST
• collaboratively select, design and/or deliver effective professional learning for colleagues that is aligned to student learning needs and the outcomes of the role
• coach, mentor or guide colleagues as appropriate to improve specific pedagogical practices, with reference to student learning outcomes and data analysis
• build knowledge of curriculum and how students learn, and apply research-informed perspectives to model and share best practices for teaching, assessment and reporting

Applicants must be fully registered teachers in South Australia who are currently certified as a highly accomplished teacher. Certification status must be maintained to stay in the HAT role.

Please note that part time and flexible arrangements will be considered.
