Position Descriptor: Karoonda Preschool is a site-based preschool, located within the newly renovated Early Years Learning Hub. After renovation works, the new facility boasts state-of-the-art learning and play spaces, along with an adjoining Reception class. We are looking for an enthusiastic preschool teacher to work in our Early Years Team using the Early Years Learning Framework and to be collaborative in their approach to development and delivery of the program. The teacher will work with 3-5 year old children and families to deliver best outcomes, including collecting data to inform practice and completing detailed One Plans and Statements of Learning. This position comes with some additional release time to support planning and development of the Preschool Improvement Plan in collaboration with the school's leadership team, as well as the opportunity to network with other preschool teachers/leaders across the partnership in developing continuity of learning from early years into primary years. Our community are passionate about the early years of our children's lives and seek to build upon our connections with the local childcare centre to strengthen pathways into the school. This position is designed to be flexible and relief work is also available within the school on the other days if seeking additional time.
