The Role
Gilmore College is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Mathematics teacher to join our dynamic and dedicated team. The successful applicant should display excellence in teaching and learning, a commitment to evidence-based practice, and the ability to inspire students to achieve their best in Mathematics.
As a member of our Maths Learning Area, you will ideally be a conscientious, flexible and innovative teacher who is committed to the development of the whole student. You will ideally be actively involved both within the school and wider community, highly reflective of your teaching practices and committed to evidence-based decision making and differentiation.

Innovative Teaching: You should be an innovative teacher who uses Explicit Instruction effectively and aligns your practice with the school’s Whole-School Instructional Model. You should have a strong understanding of Whole-School Literacy and Numeracy practices and recognise the importance of consistent approaches that support student growth across all learning areas.
Experience and Skills: You ideally bring experience teaching ATAR Mathematics (Application/Methods), with a deep understanding of Explicit Instruction and effective pedagogy. You should be confident in using data-informed practices to monitor and enhance student progress. Strong classroom management and communication skills in supporting Students at Educational Risk (SAER) and extending high-achieving students is highly valued. You should have a strong commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive, and are able to develop clear learning pathways that support progression from lower into senior school.
Team Player: You ideally work collaboratively within a supportive faculty, contributing to a positive and professional team culture and willingly share resources, ideas, and expertise with colleagues to actively support whole-school improvement initiatives.
