Lead a social work team to provide professional advice and services such as counselling, mediation, advocacy, advisory and information services for schools, students, and families/caregivers to improve students’ well-being, achievement, access, and participation.

About the Role
As a DECYP Senior School Social Worker you will:
- Be responsible for professional management of your team’s caseload within allocated resources and budget
- provide professional advice and services such as counselling, mediation, advocacy and information for students, families and schools
- provide leadership for school social workers on matters such as professional practice and practice supervision, recruitment, critical incidents and inter-agency liaison
- assist schools in their response to critical incidents and emergencies
You will be welcomed into a highly supportive, team-based environment. Your regional and statewide school social work teams stay connected via regular meetings and online communication channels. You will work collaboratively with speech and language pathologists, school psychologists, school health nurses and other staff.

We are looking for
Essential
- Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is a full member of AASW or is eligible for membership with the AASW.
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
Desirable
- A current driver's licence.
