Job Summary

Talent Focus is recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded Independent, non-denominational Christian school located in North Queensland. Situated in the stunning Whitsunday region, the school is committed to delivering a Christ-centered education that nurtures students to grow in faith, character, purpose, and lifelong learning within a supportive and caring community.

The school provides education from Prep to Year 12 and is known for its strong pastoral care, community focus, and commitment to ensuring every student is known, valued, and supported to achieve their personal best.

We are currently seeking a passionate and committed Primary Teacher to commence in Term 3, or earlier if available. This is a fantastic opportunity for an educator who is enthusiastic about Christian education and eager to contribute meaningfully within a collaborative and values-driven environment.

About the Role

You will join a dedicated and supportive teaching team where collaboration and student wellbeing are highly valued. The role involves delivering engaging and differentiated learning experiences that meet the needs of diverse learners while fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality learning programs aligned to curriculum requirements
• Differentiating teaching to support a range of learning needs and abilities
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Supporting student wellbeing and academic growth through strong relationships and pastoral care
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and the wider school community
• Contributing to school life and broader co-curricular activities where appropriate

About You

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, adaptable, and community-minded educator who is committed to both academic excellence and student wellbeing.

You will have:

• A recognised tertiary qualification in Education
• Registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Queensland College of Teachers
• Australian citizenship or full Australian working rights (highly regarded)
• Strong classroom management skills with high expectations for student engagement
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• A proactive and collaborative approach to teaching and school life
