This is a 4 month fixed term, full-time position commencing as soon as possible with possible extension (2 months) and/or permanency

North Albany Senior High School (NASHS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Network Support Officer to join their friendly team.

The Role

Join our team as a Network Support Officer and contribute to a reliable and secure ICT environment that supports teaching, learning, and school operations.

In this role, you will maintain the school’s IT network and provide technical support to staff and students, ensuring consistent access to digital systems and resources. You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, while also supporting users through practical guidance and training.

You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of school data in accordance with Departmental policies and standards. Working collaboratively with Department of Education ICT support services, you will help ensure systems remain efficient, compliant, and fit for purpose.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of network systems and platforms relevant to the operating environment.
  2. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills relevant to the operational maintenance of Information Technology networks.
  3. Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to plan and implement data security procedures.
  4. Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external clients.
  5. Demonstrated practical experience in developing and implementing user-training procedures.
