About You

As part of the Learning Support Team as a Catechist of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Atrium Leader you will assist the classroom teacher in providing a quality Catholic education focused on maximising student outcomes, through a holistic, student centred curriculum. You must be able to demonstrate:

  • a living and vibrant witness to the Catholic faith in your professional and personal life
  • successful completion of Level 1 Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Training
  • knowledge of how to organise and implement a Level 1, 2, and 3 CGS atrium
  • coordination of the timetable for small group atrium sessions
  • coordination of a CGS team
  • knowledge and experience making CGS materials
  • openness to further training in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Level 2, 3)
  • openness to further Montessori and Catholic Liberal Arts formation
  • an understanding of the needs of the diverse needs of students who require individual and classroom support
  • ability to work collaboratively with teachers as a team member
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to be organised, supportive and resourceful
  • a willingness to support the positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for students.
  • a Certificate III or IV in Educational Support from TAFE NSW or equivalent post-secondary qualification.
