About You
As part of the Learning Support Team as a Catechist of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Atrium Leader you will assist the classroom teacher in providing a quality Catholic education focused on maximising student outcomes, through a holistic, student centred curriculum. You must be able to demonstrate:
- a living and vibrant witness to the Catholic faith in your professional and personal life
- successful completion of Level 1 Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Training
- knowledge of how to organise and implement a Level 1, 2, and 3 CGS atrium
- coordination of the timetable for small group atrium sessions
- coordination of a CGS team
- knowledge and experience making CGS materials
- openness to further training in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Level 2, 3)
- openness to further Montessori and Catholic Liberal Arts formation
- an understanding of the needs of the diverse needs of students who require individual and classroom support
- ability to work collaboratively with teachers as a team member
- excellent communication skills
- ability to be organised, supportive and resourceful
- a willingness to support the positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for students.
- a Certificate III or IV in Educational Support from TAFE NSW or equivalent post-secondary qualification.
