Eileen O'Connor School, WOY WOY is seeking an experienced and qualified Learning Support Assistant on a permanent part-time basis.

Catholic Schools Broken Bay (CSBB) provides an inclusive approach for students with disability and diverse learning needs. This specific teaching role is made available as we broaden our learning offerings and inclusive model of education by providing class options for parents of children with disability with a focus on strengths, to promote engagement, enable learning growth and ensure flourishing.

Eileen O’Connor Catholic School(EOCS) provides quality education for students with a disability from kindergarten to Year 12 through a structure of a Base Schools (Northbridge 2027 & Tuggerah 2028)and a network of Support Classes in local parish schools facilitating the transition between base school and support classes and local parish school enrolment. CSBB is inviting applications from energetic and passionate Classroom Learning Support Assistants. The successful candidate will be suitably qualified and enjoy working in a dynamic and cohesive team.

This is a permanent part-time role (65 hours per fortnight) to start on 27 January 2026. During this engagement, the successful candidates will be required to work Monday to Friday of every week.

Specific Criteria

• A commitment to supporting a positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for children
• A commitment and interest to support students with special learning needs
• Knowledge of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) register
• Ability to assist in teaching under the direction and general supervision of a teacher
• Support students with their individualised learning plans in specific areas and report student progress
• Ability to assist with the selection and preparation of teaching resources to meet student needs and interest
• A commitment to excellence in pedagogy
• An understanding of the needs of students who require individual and classroom support
• Ability to carry out individual self-help programs to develop independent living skills in students
• Ability to supervise groups of students other than classroom situations and on playgrounds
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Excellent communication and IT skills

Qualifications and Accreditations

• Practising Catholic and/or can demonstrate an understanding and commitment to, the ethos of the Catholic faith in an educational context
• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Valid Working with Children Check
• First Aid Certificate
