Veritas Education are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher on behalf of a secondary school partner based in Barnet, North London. This is starting ASAP, in a 'GOOD' rated school where staff and pupils work collaboratively to make sure there is an inclusive learning environment for all.

The team within the DT department are constructed with a combination of highly experienced and newly qualified teachers, who welcome new staff and provide continued support and mentoring through your time within the department. You will also have 3 technicians on hand to support you with your practical requirements.

You will be required teach elements of graphic design, resistant materials, wood work and engineering and you will be expected to complete the planning and marking of your lessons and incorporate differentiation in accordance to the varying needs of the students. Requirements:

• Full UK Qualified Teaching Status
• Experience teaching Design Technology upto GCSE and A-Level
• Strong understanding of health and safety within the department.
• Experience with planning lessons and marking.
• Strong classroom presence and understanding of behaviour management.
• Enthusiastic and passionate attitude to teaching.
