Design & Technology Teacher - Rossendale (Long-Term Supply Role)

We are currently recruiting for a qualified Design & Technology Teacher (QTS) to join a secondary school in Rossendale on a long-term supply basis, starting as soon as possible.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a school that values creativity, innovation, and practical learning. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive and well-resourced department, delivering engaging DT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in Design & Technology, including areas such as Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design, or Engineering (depending on specialism)
• Supporting students in developing practical skills and theoretical understanding
• Preparing materials and resources for lessons and practical sessions
• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
• Maintaining a safe and organised workshop/classroom environment
• Contributing to departmental planning and school-wide initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
• A degree or specialism in Design & Technology or a related subject
• Recent experience teaching DT in a UK secondary school
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A passion for hands-on learning and student engagement
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and confident Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive school setting.
