At Kojonup District High School (DHS) we have a proud history and have served our community since 1863. Located on the Albany Highway between Perth and Albany, our 230 students have the added bonus of a 480-acre school farm close by.

The Role
Kojonup DHS is seeking a high performing secondary leader who is innovative, team-oriented and enthusiastic, to join our executive leadership team in the position of Deputy Principal.
In collaboration with the Principal and members of the administrative team, the Deputy Principal provides educational leadership in the school and the community by developing and promoting the school vision, values, ethos and priorities and encouraging staff, students, families, community and others to share ownership of the school’s vision and goals.
As a member of the school’s executive team, the successful applicant should establish and maintain collaborative and respectful relationships with the school community, ensuring all students’ needs are met. We are looking for an individual committed to achieving the best outcomes for our students both academically and socially. It would be desirable for applicants to; possess a strong understanding of exemplary classroom practice, the ability to use evidence-based planning to improve learning outcomes, have student services experience, and be able to work through complex situations in both a team environment and individually.
The successful applicant will ideally be highly motivated, reflective, enthusiastic and have well-developed leadership experience within their current role. We are looking for someone who possesses excellent organisational skills, has outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, along with knowledge and experience of curriculum, student behaviour health and wellbeing, and school operations. Other desirable qualities would include the ability to anticipate and adapt to change as well as actively supporting a strong culture of collegiality, integrity and high expectations.
