About You

As an Assistant Technologies Leader of Learning, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. The Assistant Technologies Leader of Learning position is a 1-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent.

The Assistant Technologies Leader of Learning has a significant role as a member of the College Learning Team. The successful applicant must have a strong commitment to the Catholic ethos and have demonstrated an ability to improve academic achievement by leading enhanced pedagogical practices. They will be an educator who has demonstrated that they can work collaboratively with a variety of staff and students to achieve above average results for the students in their faculty.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated a passion for engaging staff in the enhancement of their own learning and that of their students. They will be an exemplary teacher able to integrate successful practices in programming and assessment and know the latest research on improving learning. You will be an innovative, highly skilled and passionate educator with a distinct focus on holistic education. You'll bring:

  • a commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College, the Catholic Church and the wellbeing of all community members
  • relevant secondary education qualifications in TAS (Technologies), Education & NESA accreditation
  • excellent knowledge of NESA requirements and NSW Technologies curriculum
  • ability and experience to teach Technologies in Stage 4, and teach Stage 5 and 6 in your area of speciality. An ability to teach Timber and Construction is desirable
  • demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary pedagogical practices
  • a highly effective, innovative, and motivated approach as an educator, with a genuine passion for learning and teaching
  • demonstrated leadership in curriculum and assessment that focuses on student centred learning
  • sound interpersonal skills with parents, students and staff
  • demonstrated ability to lead a collaborative team
  • a commitment to academic excellence and leading a team to implement effective strategies to improve growth
  • strong classroom management & student well-being focus that engages students in their learning
  • ability to create inclusive, rigorous learning experiences for all students
  • skills and experience in analysing data to inform teaching practices to improve learning.
