About the Role

As the Assistant Principal: Mission, you will be tasked with enriching the school's Catholic identity across all stages K-12 and fostering a welcoming culture for students and families within the local community and feeder parishes. You will share responsibility with the Pastor, Principal, Executive Assistant Principal and other Catholic lay leaders for the evangelising and catechising mission of the Church within an educational context. You will have the opportunity to grow professionally and play a vital part in establishing a deep sense of belonging and partnership within the community. 

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate impact in:

  • leading, in collaboration with staff and local pastors, the development of the liturgical, sacramental and prayer life of the college to ensure a thriving Catholic community
  • collaboratively leading a culture of effective, distributive, and sustainable religious leadership, prioritising partnership with parish communities and the wider Church
  • leading a school-wide culture that is characterised by high performance, continuous improvement, data-informed decision making particularly in Religious Education
  • leading within a network to promote the reciprocal benefits of school and system partnerships
  • providing quality opportunities in faith formation for all staff, students and parents, encouraging them to participate in our Catholic faith community.

You will have attained, or be pursuing, the following qualifications:

  • postgraduate qualifications or Masters in Leadership, Religion, Theology or a relevant educational field
  • requirements of (Category E) as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead or agree to meet these requirements in your first contract term.
