• Position Descriptor: McKay Children's Centre is an integrated early childhood service located in the heart of Penola, South Australia. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team in 2026. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative environment that values relationships, reflective practice, and inquiry-based learning. At McKay, our preschool and three-year-old childcare programs operate in a shared space, creating a unique and dynamic setting where children learn and grow together. The successful applicant will bring an inclusive, flexible, and responsive approach to supporting children's learning, wellbeing, and belonging across both programs. We are looking for an educator who is: Collaborative and reflective, contributing thoughtfully to planning and team discussions. Relationship-focused, building strong, respectful partnerships with children, families, and colleagues. Passionate about play-based, inquiry-driven learning, fostering curiosity, wonder, and creativity in every child. The successful candidate will work closely with the preschool team to deliver a high-quality educational program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). They will demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth and a willingness to learn alongside our community. McKay Children's Centre is a trauma-informed service, guided by the Berry Street Education Model principles.
