Position Descriptor: Ernabella Anangu School is one of eight Anangu schools situated in the far northwest corner of South Australia in the Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands. Ernabella is the largest communities in the APY Lands. The Ernabella community is in the western Musgrave Ranges, west of the Stuart Highway, 330 kilometres south-west of Alice Springs. Our school is focused on high quality, dynamic and culturally responsive education, our students will be empowered to choose their destiny and determine their future.

The teacher in this position will be required to plan and deliver programs for our Senior years. SACE knowledge would be an advantage. The teacher may be required to teach other subjects and years levels as the needs of the school change. Pitjantjatjara Language is a key component of the learning program and there is a strong focus on developing literacy and numeracy skills through the Australian Curriculum.

The successful applicants will be required to work closely with Aboriginal Education Workers to deliver the curriculum. An understanding of EALD methodologies is important to develop students' literacy and numeracy skills in this setting. An awareness of trauma informed practices and positive behavioural strategies is desirable. The desirable applicant should be flexible and able to work well with service providers and community to deliver an engaging teaching and learning program

In addition to the salary, the following financial incentives apply:
