Position Information

Turramurra High School is a vibrant and dynamic coeducational secondary school located on the beautiful Upper North Shore of Sydney. With a diverse student body of 1,000 students, the school is a thriving educational community that embraces academic excellence, personal growth, and a commitment to inclusivity. At Turramurra High, 38% of students come from non-English speaking backgrounds, we proudly support the education of Aboriginal students, and currently offer an International Students Program in Years 10 - 12, all of which contribute to the school’s rich cultural diversity. Selection Criteria

1. Approval to teach Library Secondary or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
2. Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team to support the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning, and whole-school programs.
3. Ability to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment with a commitment to catering for students with diverse backgrounds and wellbeing needs.
4. Demonstrated expertise in managing and using digital technologies to enhance student learning, including experience with library management systems and emerging educational technologies.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

Applicants are to include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application.

If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months
