The School
The College has a successful and highly competitive Australian Football Specialist Program. The Role
Comet Bay College is seeking to appoint one suitably qualified passionate and committed Drama Teacher. The successful applicant will ideally have experience in teaching Drama across Years 7 to 12 and ideally also have interest and/or experience in teaching in Media.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to further develop the school’s Drama Learning Area and will play a vital role in promoting the Performing Arts profile in the school including a whole school musical. As a college we strive to ensure our students seek excellence and therefore, experience in teaching the WA Curriculum and Senior School Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) Practical and Performing Arts courses is vital in helping our students achieve outstanding results.
Being a teaching practitioner that has highly effective teaching practices and a willingness to seek constant improvement in your own practice, you should have the ability to promote an environment of active and positive learning; and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their very best. The successful applicant will ideally have an extensive knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and a history of supporting and enhancing classroom practice across learning teams.
