About the opportunity
Along with the traditional roles and responsibilities of an Administration Officer, you will be responsible for:
Sports duties:
- Coordinate and support sports events by preparing Parent Slips, arranging student transport in line with BCE policy, and assisting with supervision across various venues.
- Collaborate with sports coordinators to ensure smooth execution of programs, including active involvement in sports carnivals.
- Coordinate logistics for awards and equipment, including certificates, trophies, playing gear, and uniforms for sports teams.
- Oversee communication and sponsorships, maintaining the school's Team App and securing biannual sponsorships with the Sports Middle Leader and business team.
- Ensure student safety and compliance, preparing medical kits and lists, and adhering to all College safeguarding policies during extracurricular activities.
- Provide administrative support and assist with tasks assigned by the Program Middle Leader – Sport or College Leadership Team.
Workplace Health and Safety duties:
- Carry out WHS responsibilities, including reviewing Guardian Tasks, guiding staff, and staying informed on WHS policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with WHS stakeholders, meeting regularly with the WHSO and BCE WHS Liaison Officer to address required actions.
- Support WHS Committee operations, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and contributing to safety planning.
- Coordinate safety logistics, including sourcing equipment and working with contractors for fire safety inspections and maintenance.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Having provided a wide variety of administrative and operational support
- Coordinating tasks to meet deadlines and commitments, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery
- Advising on administrative tasks and processes, driving process improvements
- Understanding of compliance within a school and delivering on relevant legislation, policy and procedures
- Led and supported administrative staff, ensuring their smooth onboarding and providing effective training for optimal performance
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Certificate IV Workplace Health and Safety Certificate desirable but not required
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
