About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Assess and monitor progress to identify learning needs and provide evidence‑based intervention strategies, including for students with learning disabilities
- Gather learner insights to understand individual needs and develop strategies that improve student outcomes
- Collaborate with specialists to organise and assist with targeted intervention groups
- Liaise with students to review readiness, discuss plans and identify strengths, needs and effective learning strategies
- Support Responsible Thinking Classroom (RTC) teachers to ensure consistent behavioural expectations, routines and room procedures
- Supervise students in the RTC and accompany them to required locations as needed
- Support differentiation by assisting with varied teaching methods, materials and assessments
- Coordinate interventions by working with specialists to support targeted groups
- Support international families with enrolment requirements, documentation and general queries
- Process referrals by entering new referrals, lesson times and attendance across RTC systems and eMinerva
- Maintain documentation by completing referral forms, storing plans and managing annual archiving
- Update RTC records to ensure accurate data and timely communication with stakeholders
- Manage communication through the SRIV_RTC email group and participation in RTC Committee meetings
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Experience assessing and monitoring student progress to identify areas for targeted intervention
- Exposure to creating diverse teaching methods and assessments to accommodate various learning styles
- Skilled in developing strategies to enhance student learning outcomes based on individual needs
- Experience in collaborating with specialists to address student needs
- Knowledge about the specific needs for First Nations and international students including cultural considerations
- Certificate III in Education Support
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
