About the role

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced English Teacher to join our English faculty for Term 1, 2027. You will be an enthusiastic, resilient and optimistic educator who builds positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues and collaborates with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for students. Teaching qualifications essential and you will be a professional who maintains the highest standards of preparation for teaching and learning, student management, personal presentation and punctuality.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning
• Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments
• Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
• Engage in professional learning
• Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community.

Key Selection Criteria: Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Current (or ability to attain) SA Teacher Registration
• Exemplary classroom practitioner with a proven record of student outcomes
• High level of ICT skills, knowledge and effective incorporation into classroom practice
• Working at least at proficient level, as described by the teacher professional standards, striving towards working at the HALT descriptors
• Regular and up-to-date professional knowledge and learning
• Involvement at relevant professional organisations.

You will have a high level of organisational ability, is flexible and can prioritise and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment. Capable of thinking autonomously and use initiative, you also have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, and can quickly respond to new situations.
