About the opportunity
The Senior ICT Officer is responsible for delivering effective and efficient technical and administrative ICT services that support the operational and strategic goals of the school. This role works with the leadership team to ensure the planning, implementation, and maintenance of ICT systems, while providing expert advice, training, and leadership to enhance teaching, learning, and school operations.
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the development, maintenance and operations of the ICT network infrastructure and information databases recommending improvements to systems and processes
- Coordinate ICT asset management including registration, tracking, and disposal of hardware and software (Oliver)
- Manage device insurance, vendor coordination, warranty claims and replacements
- Providing technical advice, analysis and support to teachers, office staff and students to apply innovative ICT techniques and solutions to meet school requirements
- Installing and maintaining educational delivery systems in accordance with school standards and policies
- Develop and assist in delivery (where required) of end-user training, including materials, instructions, and procedures to support ICT use in teaching, learning, and professional development
- Manage edge switches, wireless access points, and content filtering systems to ensure secure and stable connectivity
- Oversee alarm systems, CCTV, and public announcement systems to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Providing support on the selection, procurement and installation of new ICT hardware and software to enhance existing systems
- Supervising and supporting the ICT team development to ensure a high level of service and issue resolution including training, coordination of workflow processes, performance assessment and review.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Expertise in developing, maintaining, and improving ICT network infrastructure and databases
- Ability to provide technical advice and support, applying innovative ICT solutions
- Proficiency in installing and maintaining educational delivery systems in line with school standards
- Experience in selecting, procuring, and installing new ICT hardware and software
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with little direction
- Strong communication skills and expertise to help support and develop an ICT team
- Certificate in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or related field
- Strong time management skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and professional development
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
