About You
As a School Support Officer (Level 4) - Student Services, you will be an integral member of the school community, you will demonstrate St Aloysius College Cronulla's values and professional standards in interacting with students, staff, parents and the community.
To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate:
- strong communication skills and an ability to deal sensitively with students, parents/carers and staff when required
- excellent organisational skills including the ability to work effectively in a busy environment, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- experience working in administration
- experience with Compass (desirable) or the ability to learn new systems
- an ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
- interpersonal skills in working with a range of people
- excellent written and oral communication
- accuracy and attention to detail
- proven ability to recognise confidential issues as they arise and to treat them with the sensitivity required
- a willingness to support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
- a willingness to perform other duties as directed by the Principal.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- welcoming and assisting students, families, staff and visitors
- following student attendance procedures, including arrivals, departures, leave requests and absences
- maintaining student records, including filing, archiving, and data entry of academic and attendance information
- answering and redirecting phone calls and assist with visitor enquiries
- managing student data in the College’s administration system, including class and personal information
- providing first aid and student support as required
- administering the lost property process for the College.
