About You
St Gertrude's Catholic Primary School Smithfield is seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Library Assistant to work in our Library. With a keen interest in literature, organising reading materials and helping others, the preferred candidate will deliver effective and collaborative information and research services to enhance learning outcomes for students.
To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate;
- strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and interact effectively with a diverse range of people
- ability to assist with circulation, shelving, cataloguing and maintaining library collections and resources accurately and efficiently
- the ability to process loans and returns
- the ability to use Oliver, databases and standard office software
- the ability to undertake end of year stock take of the library collection
- interest in promoting reading, research and lifelong learning among students and or the wider community
- enthusiasm to be part of a school with a focus on building community
- sound knowledge of and commitment to the Mission of a Catholic School.
