About You
We are looking for a School Front Office Administrative Assistant that is preferably experienced in working in a school setting, is hard-working, flexible and able to take initiative in a busy office; is an effective communicator and understanding when speaking to parents, teachers and the wider public; and especially kind and patient towards our students.
The position is classified by Sydney Catholic Schools asSchool Support Officer (Level 4). Core competencies within this role include:
- strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills and ability to deal sensitively with students, parents/carers and staff when required
- excellent organisational skills including the ability to work effectively in a busy environment, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- experience working in administration
- experience with the Compass Administrative Portal
- ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
- advanced computer literacy skills (MS Office and Google suite)
- accuracy and attention to detail
- proven ability to recognise confidential issues as they arise and to treat them with the sensitivity required
- a willingness to support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
- a willingness to perform other duties as directed by the Principal
- a Certificate III/ IV (TAFE NSW) or equivalent post-secondary qualification in administration, human resources, finance, accounting or equivalent would be beneficial.
