Salary Range:$82,796 to $136,848 plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.

St John Paul II College (JPC) is a Catholic, co-educational secondary school serving families in the north of Canberra. About the Role
A Religious Education (RE) Teacher plays a vital role in shaping students' moral and ethical understanding while exploring various world religions and belief systems. By creating a classroom environment that encourages open dialogue, critical thinking, and empathy, RE teachers help students develop a deeper understanding of the diverse world around them. They foster respect, tolerance, and self-reflection, encouraging students to ask big questions about life, faith, and personal values. Qualifications and Eligibility
- Bachelor of Teaching or Master in Teaching
- ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance
- ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
To teach or lead Religious Education in a Catholic school, you must:
- Be a practising Catholic connected to a parish or worshipping community
- Have completed or be due to complete Accreditation D in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy.
