About this job

Position Information

Warialda High School is a Year 7 to 12 comprehensive High School of 200 students, of which 22% are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students. A large proportion of students come from rural properties, and family incomes fluctuate with farming conditions. We are a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school that maintains strong HSC & NAPLAN results with school-wide reading, writing and numeracy approaches forever focused on improving student learning in the classroom. The majority of students possess a strong work ethic, a sense of community and inclusivity, and highly value education and extracurricular sports. Currently, a third to half of all senior students are engaged in a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship, with a third continuing further Tertiary studies. Often, our students are sought out for employment across NSW and interstate.

  4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
