The Role
Cecil Andrews College is seeking a proactive, dedicated and innovative individual to join their leadership team in the role of Program Coordinator – Vocational Education and Training (VET).
The successful applicant ideally will:
- Lead, manage and plan the college’s VET, Careers, Workplace Learning, post school transitions and the “training” related curriculum programs in collaboration with the Principal and administration team.
- Review, analyse and enrich VET, Endorsed programs, post school transition destinations and related programs and strategies to align student and industry needs and to maximise student education, employment and training options.
- Manage and coordinate the integrity, analysis and review of the VET, School Curriculum and Standards Authority and Senior School student databases to facilitate program development, performance evaluation, assessment of effectiveness, and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Provide high level VET advice, information and direction to students, parents, and teachers and promotes the VET, post school destination and related programs in the broader community.
- Cooperatively manage, coach and mentor teaching staff delivering units of competency as part of the VET and post school transitions program through performance management and professional development.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the effectiveness of VET competency development and build strategic partnerships to facilitate effective links with further education and training providers.
- Research, identify, access and manage funding, grants and other incentive options and opportunities to facilitate enrichment, diversification and/or expansion of the VET and post school transitions capabilities.
- Collaborate with the Principal and Senior Leadership team to develop and implement operational VET policies, strategies and procedures and suitable upper school pathways to facilitate the effective management and operation of the school’s VET.
