Part-time Teacher

Part-Time Year 2 Teacher (Thursdays & Fridays) - Romford Start Date: After Half Term Pay: £170-£245 per day (dependent on experience)

Veritas Education is working closely with a welcoming and well-respected primary school in Romford that is seeking an experienced Year 2 Teacher to work on a part-time basis every Thursday and Friday, starting after half term.

The school is a one-form entry primary with a strong community ethos and a nurturing, inclusive culture. Staff work closely together to ensure consistency across the school, and there is a shared commitment to high standards, positive behaviour, and pupil wellbeing. Leadership is supportive and approachable, with clear systems in place to help teachers feel confident and well supported in their roles.

This position involves teaching a settled Year 2 class as part of a job-share arrangement, with clear planning structures and strong communication between colleagues to ensure continuity for pupils. The school places high importance on smooth transitions, clear routines, and maintaining a calm and purposeful learning environment across the week.

The successful candidate will:

• Be an experienced Primary Teacher (ECTs will not be considered)
• Have strong Key Stage 1 experience, ideally teaching Year 2
• Be confident delivering engaging lessons in English, Maths, and the wider curriculum
• Demonstrate effective behaviour management and clear classroom routines
• Be reliable, organised, and committed to working collaboratively as part of a job-share team
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
