Veritas Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a wonderful private nursery in the Leeds area, offering an exciting opportunity for Early Years Practitioners seeking flexible working hours in a nurturing and inspiring environment.

This nursery is known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere, fantastic outdoor space, and a strong focus on enriching children's experiences through a wide range of extra activities. It's a setting where creativity, outdoor learning, and child-led exploration are at the heart of everything they do-making it a fantastic place to work and grow.

We are keen to hear from both qualified practitioners (Level 2 or Level 3) and unqualified candidates who have relevant childcare experience and a genuine passion for working with young children. Whether you are looking for full-time, part-time, or flexible ad-hoc work, this role can be tailored to suit your lifestyle.

The Role

This is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. You will support children's learning and development through engaging indoor and outdoor activities, helping to create a fun, safe, and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities, including outdoor learning
• Promote children's development, confidence, and wellbeing
• Assist with observations and contribute to learning journeys where appropriate
• Build positive relationships with staff, children, and families
• Follow safeguarding procedures and nursery policies at all times

What We're Looking For

• Level 2/3 Early Years qualification or relevant childcare experience (for unqualified applicants)
• A positive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for early years development
• Basic understanding of EYFS and safeguarding, or willingness to learn
