About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful applicant will inspire students to develop practical cooking skills, nutritional knowledge, an understanding of food science and safety.

Full time and part time applicants are encouraged to apply. Commencement date to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons aligned with the curriculum
• Teach students essential cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen safety
• Incorporate nutrition education and promote healthy eating habits
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised kitchen/classroom environment
• Manage food supplies, equipment, and budgeting effectively
• Foster creativity, teamwork, and confidence in students

Key Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will have:

• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration
• First Aid Certificate
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Experience teaching across year 7-10
• Experience teaching units in Senior year levels is preferred, including VCE
