About You

As a Literacy Specialist Teacher, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.

To excel in this role, you will:

  • support and commit to the mission, values and ethos of Catholic Education
  • create and execute engaging, thoroughly designed learning experiences that effectively address the school literacy priorities
  • provide specialist support to teachers and students for the integration and application of effective literacy strategies
  • collect and use a range of evidence to assess, evaluate and improve teaching and learning practices
  • have strong interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration and quality relationships in working with others
  • be skilled and committed to working with students through a positive approach to behaviour management
  • have the ability to integrate ICT into their teaching of Literacy.

You will have attained:

  • a tertiary qualification in Education
  • eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
